Numerical control (also computer numerical control and more commonly referred to as CNC) is the automated control of machining equipment (such as lathes, drills, mills) and 3D printers by means of a computer. A CNC machining service processes an object (metal or plastic, wood, ceramic or composite) to meet specifications by following a programmed code and with no manually operated operator controlling the operation of machining. CNC machining is the manufacturing process in which pre-programmed computer programs control the motion of machinery and tools. This process is able to control a variety of complicated machinery, from grinders and lathes to routers and mills. Three-dimensional cutting tasks can all be done in one command with CNC machine. What is the Work of it? The CNC system is activated when the desired cuts are defined in the program. This directs the appropriate machinery and tools that perform the dimensions, similar to a robotic robot. In CNC programming the code generator in the numerical system will often assume mechanisms are flawless, despite the possibility of errors that are more likely to occur when a CNC machine is instructed to cut in more than one direction simultaneously. The position of a machine in the control system for numerical is defined by a set of inputs known as the part program. In a numerical control machine programming is input through punch cards. By contrast, the programs designed for CNC machines are transmitted to computers via small keyboards. Computers store CNC programs within its memory. Programmers edit and create the code. Thus, CNC Machine systems have a greater computational power. The greatest benefit is the fact that CNC systems can be modified in order to add new prompts to existing programs. Different Types of CNC Milling Machines Travelling Column Machining Centers Travelling Column Machining Centers (like Hwacheon's Hi-Rex 4000 , 5000 and 6000) are CNC milling machines where the work piece and the table are stationary and do not move. The traveling column that also houses the spindle as well as the cutting tool, performs the three linear axes move. These machines were specially made to be able to handle extremely thin, long (Y-axis direction) components or multiple-clamping applications. Double/ Multi-Spindle Machining Centers equipped with Pallet Changers Often fitted with Pallet Changers that are horizontal or vertical multi-spindle or double-spindle machining centres are top of the line CNC milling machines. These machines are optimized for high productivity and are able to mass produce complex parts. Double/ Multi-Spindle Machining Centers with Pallet Changers High-end CNC milling machines are often equipped with Pallet Changers. They are able to be operated either horizontally or vertically as double, or multi-spindle, CNC machining centers. These machines are specifically designed for high productivity and are able to produce large quantities of complex components. Multi-Axis CNC Machining Centres The majority CNC machining aluminum Parts come in the standard 3-axis up to five axes to machine extremely complex shapes (ie mold & die) or complex parts which need to be positioned in different angles. Multiple axis allows for the simultaneous machining of up to five sides.
